About This Day Tour
Kikuletwa Hot Springs, known locally as Maji Moto and widely called Chemka, sits about 90 minutes from Moshi in a fig-tree oasis on the dry Masai steppe. The water is not scalding — it holds a steady, pleasant warmth of roughly 25–28°C and is so clear you can watch the small fish below you. Swim, jump from the rope swing, picnic under the fig roots and be back in Moshi the same afternoon. No hiking, no camping, just a few very easy hours in the water.
